God Is Healing

I am a cancer survivor and have been in remission for a few years. I honestly believe God got me through the treatment with very little difficulty. Since I have completed treatment, I have a ct scan done every six months.

My last one was a few weeks ago. They found a 7 mm hyperdense/enhancing lesion on my liver. My oncologist wanted to get an MRI done to make a determination on what this may be.

I felt a lot of weight on me as I did not want to have cancer again and this time on my liver.

So I turned to God. I asked him to not only make sure I do not have cancer but I asked him to remove this lesion. I prayed hard and quoted His promises to me.

I had the MRI done and when I went back to see my doctor, he told me that it was not cancer and that the lesion was gone. It did not show up on the MRI.

I was so blessed by God. He answered my prayer and removed this lesion. It just goes to show that God does heal. Praise His Name!

Below is what I used to confess His promises to me. Feel free to use them for your healing.

God is a loving God and He wants the best for His children

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

When you surrender your life to God through Jesus Christ, you now become one of His children and you are heirs to His kingdom. We know that a God who loves wants the best for His children.

1 John 3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God,
Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Jesus said “I will” when a leper asked to be healed. We must also remember that Jesus healed 100% of those who asked for healing. The only exception was one who he could not heal due to lack of faith.

Matthew 8:1-3
When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

So He healed everyone and He is the same today. If He did it 2000 years ago than He will still do it today.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Also, if He heals one believer, than He will heal others because He shows no favoritism. He treats everyone equal.

Romans 2:11
For there is no respect of persons with God.

Though Jesus already said “I will” to healing, it is His will to heal. But again, we must remember. God is a loving God which means he wants the best for us.

Matthew 6:10
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 8:16-17
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

God also tells us many times to ask and we shall receive but it must be in His will and we have already established healing is His will.

John 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 14:3
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Psalms 37:4
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Matthew 7:11
Matthew 7:11
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Jesus also told us that we can do everything He did.

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Now Thank God for your healing

Large Chuch versus Small Church

I seek a few different things when attending a church. As with any church, the number one priority must be that the church is bible based. That means the complete bible. Some churches are off base and are structured by their policies and traditions. See Matthew 15:3 and Colossians 2:8.

So when seeking a church, make sure they are teaching the bible and not traditions. If ever in question, ask God to show you the truth and seek His scripture for the truth. If still in question, ask the pastor to show you scripture that backs up what he said. As with anyone who quotes a scripture, read a few scriptures a head and following the quoted scripture. Some people tend to take one single scripture and twist its meaning.

I can give you an example. I hear people say all the time that the bible says that money is the root of a evil. The bible does not say that at all. This is what it states:

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

So what the bible really states is that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. That is putting money (or anything) before God. God must always come first in our life.

The church musty also teach the complete bible. A church can teach what the bible states, but they use discretion on what they teach. They avoid touchy topics such as homosexuality, adultery and  so forth. A church that does not teach the complete bible is not a bible based church. Find a different church.

I also seek meeting christian friends or a good church where I feel welcome. Think about the church you attend now. In the first year did you meet at least 10 new friends? By friends I mean someone you started to socialize with outside of the church.

When I attend a small church for the first time, the current members come up to me and they introduce their self to me. They also welcome me. I get that every time.

But when I attend a large church, I have yet to ever have that happen. The Christian social bond is not in large churches. This is just my opinion but I would rather attend a small church. I think some believe that large congregations equal a good church. That is not always the truth. As I already mentioned, what makes a good church is a bible based church and one that has a good christian welcome.

The Only Meaning Of Christmas

Today Christmas has lost its true meaning and has become nothing more than a scheme of marketing for the commercial industries and a day of "I want" for the public. It is a shame that many do not know what Christmas means and the children of today's generations are being raised to follow suit. So what does Christmas mean?

Christmas means God is loving and He gave us His son, Jesus Christ!

I do not think the actual birth date of Jesus is know but December 25th. has been set to represent His birth. This day means more than just the day of His birth. It is the day when God came into this world in the flesh. It is the day when Christ was born. But what does that mean?

Christmas represents the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It represents our salvation. Without the birth of Jesus we would still be lost in our sins. God came in the flesh to save us from eternal damnation. Through His grace we now have a way out of our sins and obtain an eternal relationship with God. The birth of Jesus washed us of our sins. Through Jesus we can now come to God and know that He hears us.

The birth of Jesus gave us so many promises. Through our faith in Jesus we have salvation, forgiveness of our sins, health and healing, guidance, a mediator between God and us and so much more. But what really stands out is that the birth of Jesus gave us a new life and a relationship with God knowing that one day we will go home and spend eternity with Him.

Though there are many scriptures about the birth of Jesus, including the old testament, the Gospels give us some very clear and understanding of His birth.

Matthew 1:18 to 2:18
Luke 1:26 to 2:40 (Luke gives us a great description of His birth)

When I was a child I was putting Christmas writing in our home windows. I wrote "Merry Xmas" thinking it was alright. My dad had me remove it because it takes Christ out of Christmas. Today I see that a lot. People removing Christ from Christmas. Santa is nothing and nothing to do with Christmas. It just part of the marketing scheme. Without Christ, there would not be a Christmas. That is the truth. So let's keep Christ in Christmas. I will not even acknowledge or shop at a business when I see xmas.

So on this Christmas day, make sure Jesus is on your list. If you can only ask for one gift, make sure that gift is a personal relationship with Jesus. If you already know Jesus, than ask to know Him better. No matter who we are, we can always get closer to God.

So on this special day given to us by our creator, let's remember Jesus and give Him the recognition on this awesome day.

From Cancer to Running

I was diagnosed with cancer last year and felt like the whole world was just pulled out from under me. I saw no future and thought my life is over.

But I knew that I could not let go and that God had to have some plan for me. I never looked away from God but just could not understand why this happened. So I continued to keep my faith in God and His promise to me that He heals us. I know some have doubts and think that God wants some to be sick. Those are the ones who do not know God and that my God is the God of LOVE. A father cannot love His children and want them to be sick. Plus He shows us so many times in His word that it is His will and promise to heal us.

I still have some more healing to go and I know that God will heal those too. But today He took me another step and that is to get back to running. I love running and plan to run my first 50K this winter. I know with God on my side, that will happen. All I had to do is believe!

God's Will is to Heal Everyone

It is still God's will to heal us today and is important that you believe so you can receieve His healing regardless of your disease.

STEPS FOR HEALING

Four Steps of Healing
1. Know God’s will and that He is your healer. Exodus 15:26 … for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
2. The words of Jesus reveals God’s will to heal. Mark 1:40-41 …I will; be thou clean.
3. Jesus’s actions showed that He heals Matthew 12:15 … and he healed them all
4. Jesus accomplished all on the cross both spiritual and physical. Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Do you desire to be healed?
• God tells us that we can have the desires of our heart and I think everyone desires to be healthy. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Can I be healed?
•Jesus tells us that we can do everything that He did and even greater because we now have Him on our side giving us what we ask.  John 14:12-14 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Is it God’s will to heal you?
• There is no sickness in Heaven and Jesus taught us in the Lord’s Prayer that His will in Heaven also applies to us on earth. No sickness in Heaven means no sickness on earth. That is proof of His will. Matthew 6:10 … Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
• Another example that Jesus showed us His will. Matthew 8:2-3 …Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean…

Will God heal you today?
• He sure will. The bible tells us that Jesus (God) is the same today that He was back in biblical days Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Also see Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Will God heal everyone?
• Yes, God does not have favorites. Why would he heal some and not others? He would not do that because God loves us all and shows no favoritism. Romans 2:11 For God shows no partiality [no arbitrary favoritism; with Him one person is not more important than another].

God is merciful and His mercy is healing
Mark 10:47-52 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Why haven’t you received healing yet?

1. Do you have faith?
  • Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
  • Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
  • Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
2.    Do you love one another?
  • It is important to love others. If you have any hatred towards any person than the love of God does not dwell in you. John 13:34 That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
3. Do you still hold unforgiveness?
  • In order for God to forgive you of your sins, you must also forgive those who have done wrong to you. Until you forgive others, God will not forgive you and your sins still remain in you. Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
4. Do you obey and please God?
  • It is important that you obey God and do what pleases him. If you do not, you are sinning.
  • 1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
  • John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
5. Are you still living with unconfessed sins?
  • You must confess your sins to God to be cleansed. Until you confess to God, you have no rights for answered prayers.
  • 1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
  • John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Fighting Cancer

Last year I was diagnosed with cancer. This was devastating to me and I felt that life was over. I am not going to go into that but I will share my blog on my treatment that you may read at this link - Head and Neck Cancer.

Many Christians today do not believe in healing for some reason. No one can tell me that it is God's will for us to be sick. It is not scriptural. There are so many scriptures on healing so will not list all of them because we only need one scripture to see God's promise to us. He only needs to tell us once. But He does many times because He wants us to know how strong He is on healing.

...Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 6:10

...by whose stripes ye WERE healed. I Peter 2:24

Confess your faults to one another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed ... James 5:16

These 3 scriptures show us that it is God's will for us to be healed. There is no sickness in Heaven so there should be no sickness on earth. Jesus took not only our sins to the cross but everything that we have or will go through. All we have to do is confess and believe in faith that we have been healed.

If you look at all the healing Jesus did, he did not turn down one person and he healed them all. But have you looked at what he healed. Every healing that He did was one that was incurable by man. He showed us that He can and will cure anything even those illnesses that we consider incurable. How amazing is that.

So I went into my treatment and recovery putting all my faith in God. He was in surgery with me and all through treatment. I came out of all this feeling great because I believe God is with me.

It is important to not accept any sickness as that is not God's will.

Think of it another way. As parents, do want our kids to be sick? When they get sick don't you do what you can to help them recovery. Well, God loves us and we are His children. How could we think any less from him? He does not want us to be sick. Did Jesus refuse to heal anyone who believed.? No, he did not.

Also, our body is His temple. Should His temple be sick? No, it should not. He resides within us and we should want to keep it perfect for Him.

So if you are dealing with any illness and any other issue of life, Christ is there to help us. All we have to do is BELIEVE with FAITH. After you believe, you need to start acting as if you are already healed,. Ignore the symptoms. Remember that faith without works is dead. That means you need to start showing you are healed.

Believe!!

What Color or Race is Jesus?

I hear some people debate this issue but cannot understand why they do this? You will not get that answer here either because I do not care. I used these words because it would help in the search engine and this issue does need to be addressed.

If someone is concerned about the color or race of Jesus than they are missing the complete teaching of the bible. Christians do not care and are not concerned about this. If this is something that you think about than you really need to evaluate your relationship with Jesus.

If you love Jesus than the thought of race or color would not be in your heart.
