The following are scriptures that I am seeking further understanding. If you can help, please comment below.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
So to make sure I understand this correctly, these men really were not doing God's will?
It says in James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
If they were doing wonderful works and casting out devils than that must have been from God according to James 1:17. So this confuses me. If they were doing good from God than how is it that they were not doing His will and Jesus said He does not know them.
Romans 9:13
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
As a loving God, how can He hate Esau?
Matthew 27:52-53
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
First, reading in Matthew it says that the saints which slept arose. So does that mean that before this time, no one has actually gone to Heaven yet.
Second, in I Thessalonians it says that when Christ comes back that the dead in Christ shall rise first. When Christ rose, He rose body and spirit. He was complete. But what it seems to state here is that when we die, only our spirit has risen and our bodies are still in the grave. When Christ returns, those who are already dead will reunite with their body. That will be followed bu those living will now rise - body and spirit.
So are my assumptions correct?
Revelation 22:14-15
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
It states in Revelation that there is evil outside the gates. So this raises a few questions. First does that mean we cannot walk outside the gates of Heaven and why are these evil things out there? I thought after the new Heaven comes down that all evil is now in the lake of fire. So why are these here?
End Times
I would like a full understanding of the time line of the end events such as the order each happens.
Rapture
Seven years tribulation by Antichrist
Christ’s second coming
1000 year reign
Anything else that will take place
Also, I understand that people can again be saved in the 1000 year reign as people will be born. Will this 1000 year reign only contain the believers? If not, does that mean sinners can still have a chance who have not yet died? Give me a good understanding of this 1000 year reign and all other events.
